"Say Goodbye is a special one for me. The girl in the painting is inspired by one of my best friends, and the premise of this piece was drawn from my personal struggles dealing with the end of relationships and how sometimes saying goodbye can be a good thing. In other words, there is often good to be found in the goodbye. It was a rather emotional time, possibly the most difficult point in my life thus far. I am doing my best, though, to overcome those hardships, and I hope that shows in my work." - Christina Rick
